Visions of Grandeur

Hi all,

Very new to the server. Loving the feel and pace of it so far though :)

I'm quite new to Emu's and the ROF2 client, but I was on another server and my target bar showed mobs buffs and debuffs but I can't seem to get them to show up. I was wondering if this was a problem my end, or an intentional part of the server? Got quite use to seeing when DoTs are fading etc

Also I noticed an unkown spell in my spellbox, but I downloaded the spell file, what could cause that?

Being able to see buffs on the mob comes from a Leadership AA which was probably auto-granted on your previous server. You will need to grind the four Leadership AA's to buy it here unless something has changed recently.

Someone else will need to comment on the spell file and unknown buff.

I'll double check I've got the correct Spell File and try downloading it again. The one I have seems to be from March 27 2017 which I got from the Server Information forum post?

Hello and welcome!!

There are a few spells that are from expansions beyond the EMU. EMU is based off of expansion through Omens of War but the ROF2 client is newer than that. So what you are seeing is a spell beyond OOW but before the ROF2 client. When the game checks for the spell by name it is not in the file and shows up as unknown. There are also some AAs and combat disciplines that do not work for the same reason.

As was said, there are still some "unknown spells", but I don't really bump into them too much (or maybe I've just learned to ignore them? heh), so just to double and triple check: you unzipped the download and copied the spells_us.txt into your main eq directory, overwriting the original? If so, then that's about as good as it gets with spells hehe.
