Visions of Grandeur

So upon killing Warlord Rallos Zek last night, my guild and I took our sixteen characters to PoK to get flagged by Grand Librarian Maelin for the Elemental Planes. However, to our dismay and I am assuming those affected, we kept getting locked out time and again. The script for Maelin seems to get stuck and causes PoK and everyone located inside to crash. (We crashed so much my two buddies left for the evening.) After speaking with Control and a few others on the discord server, I figured I type of this post to show what will hopefully help you get access to the Elemental Planes and hopefully doesn’t crash you or PoK when you do (not guaranteed!!!).

Step 1:
Do not speak with Grand Librarian Maelin right away!!!
Talk to Seer Mal Nae’Shi before speaking with Grand Librarian Maelin as this helps sort out flags.

Step 2:
In this order: Hail Seer Mal Nae’Shi > say “unlock memories” > “special zones” > “elemental planes” > “I am worthy of the elemental planes”

Step 3:
Create a hotkey for Maelin which should look like this:
/hail
/say what lore
/say what information
It seems getting the outputs as fast as possible to Maelin helps guarantee your flag (not always though).

Step 4:
Pray to God and hope Maelin gives you your character flag in blue.

Even with this, I still had a few characters lock up, but I had far better results (and that is saying something!). I wish yall the best of luck.

To add, I also found it helped to zone in a character or log in another character after using the hotkey. Seems to help "refresh" PoK.

Just for clarity on the issue, I have spent a couple hours on one character to just get flagged. And even after all this time, that one character is still not flagged. I am calling it a night lol.

I was finally able to get my last guy flagged this morning after just under an hour. I kept getting stuck on just the "lore" part of dialogue, so I skipped it and tried just "/hail" and "/say what information" instead for my hot key. After two attempts it worked. I am not sure if you 100% need the "lore" portion or if you just need to see it once, but I never tried with a character to just get the "information" dialogue.

On a side note, one of the guildies said they never did the hotkey technique. They simply waited for the dialogue to spawn with each hail and clicked each highlighted links after hailing the Seer. He only said "unlock memories" to the npc.

This appears to just be a very laggy quest dialogue for the server. Whatever is occurring with the script with Grand Librarian Maelin, I hope can be fixed in the future if possible.

Glad you got your last guy flagged. We'll look into this when we can, but tracking down what's happening is sometimes a very involved process, and we don't have much spare time these days. If we can track down what is happening, we'll post an update somewhere on the forum.
