Ench/Cleric Two Box efficient on this server?

I am considering an Enchanter and Cleric two box. Ench for Charm Pet tank with slow, and Cleric for Stuns and heals.

With the scaling down of mobs, would this be efficient? Or am I better off with another pet tank class such as Beastlord for pet tank and slow? I am concerned that the Ench charmed pets would not be strong enough.

Well, depends on what you want to accomplish really. On live, charming was ridiculously overpowered in a lot of situations but pretty worthless in others.
Here, charm sticks for its entire duration but the pet has half the dps, but then the mobs you kill will have half the hp as well...
If you would have been happy charming on live, I don't see why you wouldn't be even happier doing so here. If you wouldn't have been happy charming on live, you wouldn't be here either.

Did you ever main a charmer on live? If not, I'd probably recommend a druid instead of a cleric so you can keep the pc's sow'd and the npcs snared.

Or try both duos. Leveling here is pretty fast. I really loved my chanter and my beastlord :)

Thank you for your insight. I've never played an Enchanter before so thought it sounded like a new challenge. Was just curious and you have helped answer my question.

Ah, definitely give it a shot if you've never tried it :) It's such a different way of playing that there's really not much to compare to it.
Quick tips:
It's massively safer here due to the fixed charm and the nerfed dps, but you can still get dps to pretty stupid levels at times and even though charm doesn't randomly break, it's going to fade when it fades so you have to plan your fights around that or then you have 2 angry things trying to kill you, which is why snare and sow/soe are so great.
Open zones with lots of room are your friends! You need lots of room to learn.
Always keep a couple of AE stuns up and a mez up just in case
Always rune yourself (no reagents here!) no pushback from melee until rune fades, so easier to channel that recharm
Invis breaks charm on your schedule (mosquito leg earring from CT was literally my most valued item on my chanter... short castime invis clicky)
Also, try to always use mobs that can dual wield, and keep packs full of rusty daggers to equip your pets. You always want them dual-wielding and hasted.
Or even better, if you can make a mage-friend, harass them for summoned weapons and haste items.
Some mobs are crazy undercons, so pay attention to the things that seem harder than they should. For example, there's one guard in one of the 30ish velious zones, dawnshroud maybe?, that can basically solo the entire zone without a heal! I never soloed 20ish levels so fast as with that pet lol. He put most powerlevelers to shame. Of course, he was also extra MR and could one-round my untwinked chanter... red-chanter-mist multiple times hehe

@Control, just for your information charm will break randomly with the Arch Mage spell for magician. Was charming in Bastion of Thunder and pets would break randomly. I know the PoP planes are suppose to be more difficult, so not a complaint if that is the case just so you are aware XD.

Thanks for the reply, Control. I did take Hypnotist out for a run tonight and it was a fun new play style.

Ah, only made the change for chanters, can think about adding it to the other classes though.
