As someone who loves the quests of Everquest, I'd really like having the Marsinger quests from Hate to be a little more friendly. Either someone is crushing all the rares right before I get there, or the spawns may not be tuned up enough. Can you check it out? :) Thanks!

PS: It's completely possible that I'm just crazy and everything is fine.. RNG could just not be working in my favor!

One of the things that has always bugged me, well, for a long time anyway in EQ; eh, that the "Regal Band of Bathezid" has only five charges of a 25pt damage shield that lasts only 25 minutes, and is apparently unaffected by any extended enhancement abilities, or spells or worn effects. Would it be unbalancing to give players questing for this ring a bit of a break for convenience's sake, if nothing else; to either add charges (unlimited may or may not not be possible) something like 25, 50, or 99 (there is a recharge quest script, so please examine Herald Techla's scripts inside Chardok(a) zone)? Or to even increase the spell worn effect time significantly? Anywhere from 125 minutes to 250, or even 500 minutes? Not sure how many counters this may set up, probably no extra ones, or how many more clock cycles this might take from the server but it couldn't be all that many since this is a higher level item, more valuable to "true" solo players than 2-boxers.

This effect is still imminently dispellable by even level 35+ caster NPCs, and this change is really a thing of convenience for players; maintaining max faction is trivial and running back and forth to Chardok's zone in amounts to a time sink if players have to do this more than once a week, or weekend, or so. But, like anything, else, i don't wanna make busy-work over bugs or bigger problems!

One more suggestion, feel free to ignore since this effects only a minority of players; is to place either the Shackle of Steel or Shackle of Tynnonium itself, or both, as drops from the NPC "Veltar" in the Dreadlands. He is needed by Monks of high levels for the Cabilis based Monk quests "Shackle of Tynnonium" and the "Whistling Fists"- and the main reason is to save players lots and lots of time; it is a convenience change for those playing the Monk class.

These NO DROP LORE wrist armor(s) are even arguably inferior to those ALL/ALL Lore bracers dropped by the Zelnithak in Luclin, or even the Monk only Lore Tormax bracer... and because gear is cycled so quickly here and, well, on any real solo server, you have to ask, since Human Monks can kill their GMs (Qwinn in South Karana, and Zephyl in Rathe Mountains) as "expected time savers" why then has there never been parity with Cabilis Monks? It is not "unfair" so much as incomplete in my humble opinion, which is what prompts this suggestion. It is not as though the final Fists are on par with the Epic, and their worth is even eclipsed by top Luclin gear... it'd be nice if they lasted until maybe Ele-Pop or even GoD expansion tradeables at least, given their relative "RvR" and difficulty and time investment...

As always, thanks for any consideration, but it would obviously be a lower priority type change, if adopted. =]

That was an unexpectedly large amount of stuff to poke through, lol. Upped the spawn rates on the nameds significantly.

On the ring and shackle quests, I do appreciate the detailed suggestions, so I don't want it to sound like I'm ignoring them, but it's a bit similar to the epic question. It's not that I mind changing things, since this clearly isn't a 'pure' server, but quest things have very rarely really been "worth" the time, even on live. And spending too much time changing/balancing individual items, especially when they're almost instantly replaced anyway, just doesn't seem like a good investment at this point.

Also, considering that some people want to do the quests anyway, even knowing that they're not objectively "worth it", that makes me hesitant to essentially scrap some of them by placing their rewards on mobs as loot. Upping spawn/drop rates to make things much easier seems like a much better path, and I'm happy to do that when people point out troublesome spots. That keeps things from being excessively oppressive while still keeping the experience mostly intact.

Perfectly okay, and np. Hey, just because there is no Santa Claus- never stopped us from making that Wish List every year. I see now why 2-boxers don't bother with the ring quest; it overwrites thorns/ro player cast damage shields, rather than stack with it, like Coldain ring(s).

Tallon Zek in plane of tactics needs a look. I think his current set of abilities is too tough for one group, he was impossible with our 8 toons and good mix of classes.

I think his teleporting makes the engagement fun, but the snare on the Bolts of Tallon Skill cause healers and other non-tanks to take way too much damage before tanks can return to his range.

Slixin Klex : Can his dirt drop a bit easier ? 42 kills (and no dirt yet) is more than I needed on live (11)
Crown of Elemental Mastery : About the only thing I have no chance of soloing at this stage.. but is there a nicer way to get it without trivializing the epic?

Not sure about tweaking the difficulty, but I upped the droprate Dirt of Underfoot and the Crown of Elemental Mastery. The crown will still be somewhat rare due to the crazy depth of the PoA loot tables, but I upped the droprate a bit and also removed a bunch of junk items from the tables.

Some other changes:
-changed autotrain to include triple attack, 2hp, disarm traps, and lizardman/vah shir
-Tallon Zek - removed dispell, snare, slow
-Emp - removed bane wep requirement, removed slow and shortened stun
-maybe fixed charm affecting mage epic
-added a vendor with velious and pop armor components

Since we do not have Guild Halls available, please spawn a neutral personal Tribute Master in PoK, ideally near the hub, but maybe near the existing Guild Tribute Master that is already there.

could that line of cleric summoned hammers be tradeable? I have to admit, i only made a cleric to arm a pet. LoL. i've been spoiled on other servers. i don't think the pets do a ton of damage, so it might not be too much. it's not something i'd continue a debate about.

from what i can see, the VoG ward of xegony 61 mage pet has a greatly elevated level for sure, but doesn't do a whole lot more damage compared to the previous VoG greater vocerate pets. i didn't do the epic, because a birdy told me it wasn't as good as the 61+ pets, so i am not sure about how that compares. just realized #mystats was recently added, i guess i can know for sure, but if i am wrong onthe epic, please lt me know.

Ya, from what I know, the 61 pet is slightly better than the epic, but there are some tradeoffs, like the damage shield and spells. I'm not much of a mage though, so someone else might have a more informed opinion.

And cleric hammers on pets? I'll give it some thought.

Hey bud,

Can you look at Magmatron in Plane of Fire. He's ramping for 1500 and unslowable - which you can't keep anything but the tank up with heals when he's ramping for 1500 and hitting for 1500+.

sorry should post this here -

1) can you please look at the pathing in Plane of Air? The elementals and the phoenix birds are going under the floor and you can't hit them

2) can you please review the Coirnav script? The time alloted to kill the waves isn't enough time before the events despawns and ports you out.

Hey Control,

The Fenin Ro event could use a tuning when you get time as well. The HP's are pretty high on the 7 platforms you need to clear as it's 6-8 mobs. Fenin Ro himself could use tuning too as his DD is 3k and is ramping - a bit for one group. We tried with 2 war 2 clr 1sham 1bst 1rog and got him down maybe to 70%.
