Noticed yesterday that the cleric pet is now permanent, freeing up a spell slot for my cleric, thanks Control!

Also, just wanted to say thank you for removing the "fake inny" part of the innoruuk fight! I was a bit disheartened as I ground my way thru his HP thinking there would still be another version to go, but was nicely surprised when shiny loot was on his corpse! :)

I would like to recommend the creation of a potion or item for resurrection. It could have a very long cast time to compensate for the effect, like 30 or 60 seconds.

I am a single box player and have been grouping with other single box players. We don't always have a character with a rez and it is kind of a bummer if one person gets killed while we are working towards a goal and we have no way to bring them back to us if the rest of the party survives.

Just a suggestion. I would appreciate everyone's comments.

Item for resurrection would also be cool for the Group Boxers... e.g. Cleric dies and you are stuck somewhere ...
That would help a lot.

You could always go kill Vox, and possibly Gorenaire although Control would have to check the loot table, for the Staff of Forbidden Rights. It drops on this server with 10 charges of instant cast rez. There are four classes, five if you count the necro, who can rez so I it isn't hard to put together a group that includes a rez'er. I feel the tools are available currently and having to rez may be inconvenient but there are tools to deal with it currently in game. I find travel to be inconvenient as well but having a #zone command kind of takes away from the spirit of this server.

Thanks for the suggestion! Gave it some thought, and I think it's a worthwhile addition. I'll try to add it next time I update things. There are a lot of classes that get a rez of some kind, though those are the classes I manage to kill a lot :D
And since there's no xp involved, it's really a travel spell, so feels a bit like giving everyone bind/gate pots (though maybe it won't be quite that convenient hehe).

It also means anyone with a rogue, feign death class or bard can pretty much bypass all content by dragging corpses and rezing wherever they want to be. There was a reason Staff of Forbidden Rights was removed from the loot tables on Live. If you have decided to go this route, can you also add a CoTH clickie? It would remove the inconvenience of having to rebuff characters when bypassing content but still be more limited than the rez item since there are areas, as previously mentioned, where CotH does not work.

Good points Fierlen. Hadn't considered the potential exploits of a Rez potion. I was leaning towards potion over clicky item also. I appreciate your comments on this topic.

I am thinking that anyone willing to exploit this potion would also and would be willing to do all the warping exploits with add on programs that Control has made against the rules. I play on this server to enjoy playing and being able to fight my way through content, not bypass it. I work full time and don't get to play a ton. My family and I all play single boxes and we like to just play what we want to, not build a balanced or powerful group. I am just looking for a way to not leave anyone behind should something silly happen or while we learn how to best play our group.

Potions have refresh timers right? Could that be set to like 10 minutes or more? 30 second cast time and 10 minute refresh would help to slow down the exploits. You could also make them like 200pp(or more) or something like a drop or quest item? I would prefer the purchase method though.

Appreciate your consideration on this Control.

I agree with you that not everyone is going to be bypassing content and such. I don't have an opinion on the change either way. I was just pointing out that it was possible and what the potential changes might bring. A 10 minute recast wouldn't help matters much because you would just really your priest first and have them ready the rest of the group. The level 15 cleric rez, or whatever the lowest level one is, is not capped on level and xp loss is not a consideration. It takes almost no mana for a cleric or paladin to recover a group. That is also assuming that the cleric does not have their epic.

Bit late to this but I agree with Fierlin's sentiment. I think that the server strikes a good balance at the moment between convenience and old school feeling. Making it too easy will make it feel more like a test server.

Last night I killed Trakanon with a low 50s group and wiped after the death because of the poison dot which I'd forgotten. On one hand it's a pain because it took a good while to fight down to him and I was going to log out and kill him a few times, but on the other i was punished for being sloppy, and I sort of enjoyed that too!!

Any chance of a portal to the quest NPCs in Skyshrine? I've literally just walked round it for an hour - I can't even get to the start of the maze, nevermind get through it!!

Ignore my last post saying we can't make it too easy, this enraged me ;)

Luclin mobs .... I have been in SOL expansion alot with my crew all 63+ with almost 100+ aa now .... the mobs in ssra some seem very unbalancing , while cursed is doable with a strong group . . Arch lich seems to proc this stun push back that constantly puts 1-2 char espciually tank in an endless push back stun loop .. and xtc and hp are a bit hard too they cant be slowed hit like a truck and seem to flurry constantly they just seem a bit hard for the expansion. i know alot of people are skipping SOL for more favorable pop zones but i love to do all the content , im gonna try emp soon see how he is
i know this is a low priotiy kinda thing but if u guys get a few min to check it out would love to be able to own up that zone again

afaik the part of the ldon functionality is hard coded in the client. could maybe achieve similar results by replicated all the items on all the vendors, but would be a lot of work hehe

The points are pooled and can be spent at any vendor. To buy something at any particular vendor you first have to earn that many at that camp. Once you earn >1500 points at a camp you unlock the ability to buy anything from that vendor. After that, it doesn’t matter where the points are earned from. I hope that makes sense.

I have around one hundred AA's, looking at what's left I was wondering if you ever considered removing the AA level requirement, in this way players could access all available AA's greatly extending the gameplay and allow access to some of the more useful AA's like group invis? Is this even possible?

some have been tweaked already, but changing any of them would have to be on a case by case basis. Also, a lot of the newer ones don't work.

I would be happy to help test them for you?

I could create a list or work off one and see if it works or report on possible outcomes from changes, happy to invest some time to make it happen.

Personally, the AA's listed below would be a good start;

General AA
1. Planar Power (current max rank 5, possible rank 20 listed as level 80)
2. Mystical Attuning buff slots (current max rank 4, possible rank 12 listed as level 85)

Archetype AA
1. Mnemonic Retention (more spells slots)
2. Expansive Mind (increase to possible max mana regen)
3. Enhanced Aggression (increase to possible max attack from Items)

Class AA include useful AAs like group invis/undead, group soe etc but also a lot of AA that could unbalance things, testing required and i would be happy to help.

Ah, so by "extending the gameplay", you mostly mean making characters more powerful, thereby reducing the gameplay :)
Thanks for the offer to help test, but we're not really in dev mode at the moment, so I'm not exactly eager to go changing the game's balance.
