Sol Ro DMG Shield

I'm unable to remove the DS off Sol Ro. One successful cast of MoK or MoR is supposed to do it, but MoK doesn't stick even on a successful cast, and MoR is just stacking with his buff.

I checked the spell data and the effects are on the same slot. It may just be that the stacking code doesn't handle MoK correctly. Have you seen it successfully remove other damage shields?

Also, have you tried dispelling it? It doesn't look like it's flagged as No-Dispel, so that might be possible.

You can dispell the damage shield pretty easily except it is kind of wonky. Make sure you use a spell that has the effect Cancel Magic (9). On one attempt I used Nullify Magic which has Cancel Magic (4) and couldn't remove the damage shield after at least 10 casts. On the next attempt I used Annul Magic which has Cancel Magic (9) and it removed it first cast. It is just kind of weird.

I use MoK all the time to remove damage shields. Its just as important, if not more so, than the heals it provides. I tried dispelling but got a lot of resists before I got tired of throwing bodies at him.

I went back again tonight and was finally able to remove the DS, but it took a whole lot of Annul Magic casts. It really should be able to be taken down with a single MoK, though.

On the plus side, Sol Ro down with just my four box!
