There's a "Go Home" button on the character select screen that you can always use when you're stuck somewhere.
Did you download the client from the server info thread stickied at the top of the forum? The the non vogeq.com download that people used before was missing a few zone files and needed an additional file pack.

No, I had never noticed that button. . . . It's been a long time since I played EQ and I suppose I never noticed that was there.

I'll check into getting the correct files. I hadn't started with the VoG files.

Hi Control,

Random stats bug is back to annoy us. From time to time HP bars remaining full and Mana and stamina not showing in random zones.

Hi Control,

Thanks for this awesome server. Really been enjoying myself.

So I took a group to Sleeper's and got a number of quest drops for turn-ins in Skyshrine to the Crusaders. I took my Monk (Ssarskar) and Rogue (Stabb) to do the turn-ins. The monk got his item by turning in the four fangs to Grendish the Crusader (quest: http://everquest.allakhazam.com/db/quest.html?quest=2432). But then when I took my rogue to turn in the four essences to Jortreva (quest: http://everquest.allakhazam.com/db/quest.html?quest=2434), instead he gave me the wrong quest item (it was some hand item for plate melee classes, I didn't check what it was). Thinking it was part of a hand-in cycle, I turned it back in, but got nothing back. He also gave me a turn-in message for another quest mob, Susarrak. I've got a screencap if you want to see it.

It's not a question of faction. Both toons are allied with Claws of Veeshan.

Quest should be fixed now, and the proper item should be on your cursor next time you log in or zone.

Paladin Spell Holy Aura . . . so it seems that once I got this spell (Holy Aura) that I've lost control of my Paladin. It auto loads the spell in gem 8 and casts until I am out of mana. If I med, it reloads, and casts again until I am empty.

I have tried this without macroquest being enabled. I'm not sure what to change in the spell file. It is the file you directed me to download.

Help me Obi-Wan-Control . . . you're my only hope.

This. The HP remaining full health happened in The Temple of Cazic-Thule and Chardok

Hi Control,

Sorry to bother you with another bug so soon. I was in Velks earlier just grinding some AAs on my warrior (Throkk), and was manually switching between my Sleepers avatar weapon and my Aged Scimitar of Lifestealing. I have no clue what happened, but my scimitar just straight up disappeared from my cursor and I got the message "You already have an Aged Scimitar of Lifestealing in your inventory (*some numbers*)." Now the scimitar is just gone. I logged off and back on to see if my inventory would reset and it would be there, but it isn't.

Hello,

I have had this happen before and camping and coming back in or zoning fixes it for me. You need to check all your inventory and equip slots because I have had the items end up in weird places once the inventory resets, even in the bank.

This happens sometimes when I try to rapidly change items in my inventory around. I want to suggest you make sure you didn’t accidentally trigger the bandolier or something like that via a key press.

ok, should be on your cursor when you log in or zone next. let me know if not.
Note that items can also poof if you do the dump one bag into another one thing. It may have seemed like nothing caused it, but whatever it was may have happened a couple of minutes before, and the de-sync just wasn't obvious until then.

Hi Control,

Thanks for getting back yesterday about my stuck character in SSRA Emp room. I went back there yesterday after we spoke (now confident I could get out lol) to try and fault find.

My system is basically up to date with drivers etc., one of the things I checked. Also using your spell files and client with no previous problems in SSRA as all my main characters are VT flagged. I had a group of six with one other tagging along to get flagged, not in a raid or grouped.

Yesterday did the usual clear to the Emperor portal with no issues anywhere in the zone. I clicked on the portal with my monk Scaly first and landed in the room, then put my SK Feardem in and then noticed both characters were unresponsive in the zone in room. I then went to try and enter with my other characters and none of the other four would zone in through the portal, this reaction is typical of the HS PoG graphic issues.

I tried to Origin the characters out of the zone in, with no reaction, even when origin completed the cast they just stayed unresponsive. I could interact with inventory, chat was ok, could quit the game, even when I logged back in they were still in the emperor portal room. I eventually managed to get all remaining characters to PoK from the main portal room, it had taken almost 4 hours lol. The SK remained locked in there totally unresponsive, tried everything with the exception of the return home button (thanks for reminding me lol)

I went back to try this again, with only a group of six, but zoned different characters, with the exact same result, the difference being the I had to totally re-log the characters as the return home button was not available after I used the quit command, was OK after re-log. Stumped by this one as I assume the emperor room is not a different zone but part of the same zone with a door, although locked and an in zone port like gate?

The fact I can recreate is there maybe something server side?

Thanks for the detailed info! Sounds like your characters are getting de-synced after clicking the door, making anything done afterwards not matter since it's only happening on the client. I'll have to try to dig into it a bit when I have a chance. Have you successfully zoned your group into Emp's room before, and its now causing problems but worked ok before?

Hi Control,

So finally getting around to PoP flagging. I'm working on the Aerin'Dar key, and Captain Ryglot Cupperhide in PoV ate my items (on my war, Throkk). I will admit I didn't go through the rigamarole of having every conversation in such and such order. In my experience that stuff is almost 100% of the time unnecessary. Unfortunately I guess for flagging that's not so. Not sure what your views are on dumb mistakes like that; if you say "tough luck," that's understandable and no worries--I just would prefer not to farm the items again!

Your UI folder or maybe your entire EQ folder probably got set to read-only when you installed. Not sure why, but it happens sometimes. If you check the properties on your EQ folder, you should be able to untick the read-only box.


I'm having similiar issues. So I make my hotkey's and set up my new spells and they all work great till I camp. Soon as I camp and come back. My spells are reset to what they used to be. The new hotkey's I made are now gone. I went and unticked the read-only box. Any other ideas?

Just to add, i went back and checked the read-only box. And it's getting rechecked after I uncheck and apply. It show's it going through all the files....

try googling "take ownership of folder windows 10" or whatever your os is. It's a bit of a convoluted process, but it's fixed some weird problems for me.

Hey Control,

Found an issue with the cast delay of the spell "Supernal Remedy," a lv 61 cleric spell.

I did some timings with the cast delay with Supernal Remedy and found it is significantly longer then what it is supposed to be.

I started my timer after the first cast of the spell finished and stopped as soon as the second cast was able to start.

These are three results I had: 3.86; 3.93; 3.56.

According to Allakhazam and Lucy, it is supposed to be a "Recast Time of 1.5."

The fizzle time is 3.5 seconds, so maybe that data was implemented where the 1.5 was needed?

Heya Control... more a problem than bug.

For the Spirit Wracked Cords series:

The an angry goblin in Droga appears to be still on a 3 day spawn... never up when I check anyway.

The shady goblin in Warsliks is on a much more humane sub-30 minutes.
